Digital Control: Bartlett V6-CF digital controller mounted on kiln (R-10 to R-200) or wall mounted in box (R-280 to R-450) with 1-zone (R-10, 28, 85, 153, 195; 2-zone (R-200) or 3-zone (R-280, 450) control. Combination auto/manual controls available; call. Floor pedestal control mount (any model), add $145. Thermocouples: Type K. Upgrade to type S (platinum/rhodium for very long life & consistently more accurate readings at stoneware/porcelain temperatures): Add $150 per t/c (zone). Gutter Box: One piece standard on all kilns. Split gutter available on model R-200, 280 or 450 to allow passage through narrow ways; add $120. Vent: Orton Vent Master, 120 V with separate plug and switch: Vent automatically controlled by Bartlett, add $50.00 (requires 120V at supply cable).

Construction Notes
Body: Euclid single wall top loading kilns are built with 3” insulating brick throughout to ensure superior and sustained structural rigidity while providing optimum heating and cooling characteristics. If desired, bodies (and gutters) can be ordered in sections. Optional double wall construction is available on most models, a practical choice for those who regularly soak at high temperatures. Double wall R-153 and R-200 models are built with 2.5" insulating brick backed up with 1" fibre board; R-280 model with 3" brick and 1" board. All Euclid double insulated kilns have 3" thick lids and floors. |

Elements: 40 years of making elements has taught us a lot about what works and what doesn't. We've learned that the best way to achieve even heat distribution is to use elements that deliver more heat to the top and bottom of the kiln to compensate for heat lost through the lid and floor. Hinges and Lid: Made from1/8" solid steel, Euclid hinges are designed to hold the lid in the full upright position without need for chains or lid supports. Euclid's stable, free-standing design allows for the use of a secondary lid restraint (recommended) while eliminating the need for awkward supports or dangerous chains. And Euclid's exclusive Halo Lid feels so light it can easily be raised and lowered from almost any position around its perimeter "halo" handle. Safety Latch: When the lid latch is disengaged, power is cut, eliminating any possibility of accidental electric shock. It also doubles as a lid prop, allowing the kiln to fire with the lid propped open. |
